Braintree Youth Soccer was extremely excited to take part, and give back, to the 2022 Nelson Chin Memorial Golf Tournament! Whether it was our current President, former President, current Treasurer, and countless former and current volunteers out there golfing, our being the sponsor of a hole, or making our way through the rain onto the course, as we have so many Saturdays on the soccer fields ourselves, it was a great day! To be able to honor and remember our dear friend Nelson Chin out there is something so small compared to his impact on BYS as a volunteer, coach, and President, or his continued commitment as Director of Parks and Rec to our fields and kids, but Nelson did so much more for all the kids and the Braintree community as a whole that we could never thank he or his family (for sharing him with us all those years) enough.
Two of our 2nd Grade teams got the opportunity to be on site for the National Anthem on the sidelines, pre-game, and played an awesome game at halftime of the BHS Varsity Boys tilt vs. Walpole! Thanks to BHS Boys Varsity Coach Kevin Jameson, and the players, for welcoming BYS to the game, and to Coaches Ringius and Cooper for bringing their teams along!
